After giving up on all thought of a relationship I decided to give it 1 last try. I searched the net and found this site. I sent out message to a wonderful man who actually did not respond to me for a couple of months. Once he did it was magic. I could never imagine this. Love unconditionally. This wonderful man has changed my world and I am SURE our future will be together in love forever. I just want to say thank you for making this available to those of us who feel we have to put our love life way because of our diagnoses. I will be eternally in your dept for allowing me to meet the man of my dreams. I am sure there are wedding plans in our future as we are discussing relocation currently. I received a "wink" on June 2, 2009 from my new friend and I hesitated at first, but replied back. We then started communicating via Email and then eventually exchanged phone #s.
We ended up meeting this past weekend (June 20). It was sudden in us meeting in person; I wanted to wait a little while before doing it, but after communicating via Email every day, and then talking on the phone every day, we were ready to go ahead and meet instead of waiting. I guess you really can't put out a time table on when to meet someone in person that you have met online. That doesn't happen when you meet someone while out and about in public such as shopping, hanging out with friends, going to a club, church, or whatever. We are both glad that we did it though! So, it ended up being 18 days of corresponding before meeting in person.
We met at a public place, a restaraunt for dinner. After meeting in person, we hit it off really...

I have been on the site for over a year and have communicated with other men on the site. He is the second man that I have met in person from the site. I really hope that this will work. We are both looking for the same thing in a relationship. It is too soon to say if there are any plans for marriage; we both want marriage and it has been discussed in prior conversations that we have had. Time will tell if it is meant to be for us to be married one day. I am going to take it one day at a time and see where this new relationship will lead us.
I am very thankful that I had found this site. After being in my situation for several years, I was unsure if I'd ever meet someone that would accept me with what I have and ever have a relationship or marriage. If it doesn't work out between us, I will come back to the site.
I found someone on here... We started dating about 2 2/2 months after I joined.. both have HSV2, and now we are in a committed relationship.
We corresponded from Feb- until June 2009 - which is when he ended his deployment in afganistan and came back to USA. We met at a restaurant.. which is suggested.... however, we did chat online over Yahoo.com quite a bit.. we did not talk on the phone, however, since he was in another country..
we don't have direct plans for marriage, but we are in a committed dating relationship. - marriage may come later, we both are looking for that - but it is complicated due to the nature of his job as well as mine.
I will say that I met other military guys on positive singles.... and they were all nice, but stationed too far away..

And its no wonder! I thought his PS screenname had to do with a real Screaming Eagle which caught my eye as I do love Native American culture - and then he told me that Screamingeagle had to do with a motorcycle part - what did I know right?
Many laughs later we are still growing in our loving relationship and enjoying life! Plans for marriage you ask? there is no need for us to rush on that but...
