I have had herpes type 2 in my genital area for many years. Am i at risk for different permutations of herpes type 2 from a new partner? If I put my mouth on a genital type 2 lesion at this point am i at risk for getting herpes type 2 on my mouth.?

There are only two strains of herpes. Those strains are HSV-1 and HSV-2. It is not possible to pass genital HSV-2 to a partner who has genital HSV-2.
