He contacted me and we exchanged a few e-mails and then he asked me for my personal e-mail, which I gave him and then we communicated for, I believe, about a month before we decided to meet. I went to meet him in another state, it was close enough for me to drive there. We both liked each other from the start and kept meeting in between states. It has now been about 4 months that I know him now and recently he met my family.

I don't know if marriage is in the future, I do hope so, but for now I am very happy.

On a separate note, I realized how limited I was looking for a guy in my own state only. If I could give one advice to other members, it would be "don't be afraid of the distance, even if the date is not working out, it still gives you a chance to escape and learn something new. I'm glad I did."
I am also thankful to this site because the technical stuff is out of the way and there is no need for people to hide anything, in that respect.
