We had a more unusual route of communication - we e-mailed about two years ago, and never got together because of some family issues that came up, but my (now) wife then 'winked' at me again last September. We e-mailed for about a week, then spoke by phone and met another week later. Our first meeting was at the Museum of Modern Art in New York city, followed by dinner nearby that lasted well in to the evening. We are both very in to the arts and are self-proclaimed 'foodies,' so this was a perfect date for us.


Honestly, both of us were ready to quit Positive Singles when we met because of the quality of some of our experiences with people on the site. Our best advice would be to be patient with the process and, while you must be careful about who you meet, keep an open mind - you never know when 'the one' is just an e-mail away.
